CNN’s founder, Ted Turner, owns millions of acres of land and forests. Naturally, the idea of owning all that property seems quite exciting.
But hypothetically, what if you owned the Himalayas? What would you do with the ownership?
Go for treks? You can do that even now.
Not let others enter your land? For sure, you could do that — but what good it would do for you?
The only thing that adds value to our life is experience. And a lot of experiences don’t require us to own crazy stuff or have an insane amount of wealth.
While we chase wealth, we often forget that many pleasures of life are accessible to us right here, right now. We don’t need to own the Himalayas to experience them.
But are we experiencing them? No. We are all waiting for the day we arrive in life — the day we own the world. And then, we will walk in the forest.
Ah, I don’t know about you but I am so guilty of it. But it is never too late. This weekend, maybe do something different?
