Columbus missed India by a few thousand miles and landed in the Caribbean. But we don’t call him a ‘failed explorer.’
Then why do we call people failed entrepreneurs? Or failed in their careers?
Even if you did not get to your original destination, did you still get somewhere? Did you learn something valuable?
We all explore life without a map — in fact, we create the map. It is ok if it takes a few restarts. It is ok if you fumble and change directions. It is even ok if you crash and burn a few times. Because it all takes courage.
The real credit is for sailing off into the unknown and trying. Success is a bonus.
