Everybody knows how to be a good leader – until their tail is on fire.
Everybody knows how to advise startups until they do their own startup. Then, they are staring at an empty bank balance and the family on the verge of disowning them 🙂
Some things in life can’t be simulated — you have to experience them firsthand.
In the early days of your career, you will get a lot of advice. On top of that, blogs, podcasts, and YouTube videos will tell you what you should do in your 20s and 30s.
A lot of it is just a waste of time. Some of it is useful, but only if you act.
Personally, the only real things I have learned in life is by doing things and taking my chances. Sometimes it works out. Sometimes, it blows up in your face. But it is way more useful than listening to advice (including this one).
So step out. Take your chances.
An ounce of action > a ton of theory.
