Time is limited

If you write 10 emails a day, every week, you send out 50 emails.

In 2 years, you would have written 5000 emails.

In the amount of time it takes to write 5000 emails, you can write a small book. And while the emails have a shelf life of one day, the book would be forever.

Now, of course, I am oversimplifying things a bit. And it is not my case that you should stop sending emails.

But the bigger point I am trying to make is that not all tasks are born equal – some have 100x greater than payoff than others. And yet, when we choose what to work on next, we pick up whatever comes to our mind, as if everything had equal payoff.

This is a mistake.

Your time is limited but the impact you want to make is massive – whether it is generating wealth, building your brand, or spreading your ideas.

When possible, give your time to the 100x tasks. You will be surprised that they take almost the same time as 1x tasks 🙂
